MAGIC BETTING
GAME RULES ON DEVICES
-
1. By placing a bet, the player declares having read, understood and approved the Rules of the Game.
-
2. When using the End User Software, defined as the software present on the devices, or when placing a bet, the player declares that he will always comply with all sports betting legislation applicable in the Belgian territory. Using the End User Software or placing bets outside Belgian territory is prohibited. Any unauthorised use (as defined by law) of the End User Software is prohibited.
-
3. It is forbidden to place bets for persons under 21 years of age. The operator may ask to present proof of identity showing the age of the player.
-
4. The bet(s) per person per day must not exceed €200.00 in newsagents. In betting shops, bet(s) of €1,000.00 or more per person per day must be the subject of registration.
-
5. If tickets are offered by persons who do not comply with points 2 and 3, the operator has a duty NOT to hand over or pay out betting tickets and/or payout tickets.
-
6. No loan or credit of any kind will be granted to a player.
-
7. A player may only bet with funds that are of legal origin.
-
8. Once a betting ticket has been printed by the terminal, the bet cannot be cancelled or changed at the player's request. Printed tickets refused by the operator following points 2 and 3 will be cancelled by Magic Betting. The stake will be refunded to the player. In this case the operator shall inform Magic Betting as soon as possible either by e-mail or telephone in order to cancel these tickets.
-
9. In case a betting ticket cannot be printed (e.g. temporary internet problems, technical failure, ...), a copy can be made by the operator within 30 minutes after creation of the betting ticket and only on the terminal where this ticket was made. After these 30 minutes a copy can be requested from Magic Betting ([email protected]) and only by the operator (not the player). Magic Betting will generate a code which can be manually checked at the terminal for winnings or losses.
-
10. If a desired combination for the player does not seem possible for the terminal, the player should accept this fact.
-
11. If a bet is won, the terminal prints a payout ticket after entering the betting ticket into the terminal's scanner or after entering the ticket code on the terminal's touchscreen. This scannable payout ticket ("scannable" means that the operator can scan the ticket via the hand scanner connected to his computer) is the only proof of winnings and should be paid out by the operator to the player. After a payout ticket is printed, the betting ticket no longer has any value.
The player has a maximum of 50 days from the day following the last event on which a bet was made to create a payout ticket. After these 50 days have elapsed, no payout ticket can be printed and consequently no winnings can be paid out. A reference to point 16 in the Rules of the Game should be made here, but the time limit of 50 days remains valid.
-
12. A payout ticket can only be printed at the shop where the betting ticket was made.
-
13. There is no time limit on paying out payout tickets. A player can submit his (easily readable and scannable) payout ticket for payout at any time.
-
14. The player must give his payout ticket to the operator before the payout. As long as a payout ticket has not been issued, no amounts will be paid out.
-
15. The maximum amount to be paid out per betting ticket is limited to €100,000.
-
16. If the business where the betting ticket was made is closed for more than four weeks or permanently, if the terminal is removed or malfunctioning for a period longer than four weeks, a player may contact Magic Betting to discuss the progress of his betting ticket ([email protected]).
-
17. In case of a temporary closure (shorter than four weeks) due to renovations, leave of absence or other (e.g. a bereavement), the player should wait for the reopening of the business to have any winnings paid out.
-
18. ‘Winnings’ means the amount of proceeds calculated based on the odds of the bets placed and won, less 2% (two per cent) of such proceeds retained for tax compensation.
-
19. Players have the option of digitising their printed tickets via an app: the Bet Tracker. The app uses the mobile phone's scanning system. The two items to be scanned are the barcode on the gaming ticket and the QR code on the device's screen.
The Bet Tracker is a tool to track betting tickets and is in no way part of a digital gaming offering. Tickets scanned by the Bet Tracker are in no way subject to legislation on offering bets via information society tools.
Once a gaming ticket is scanned with the mobile phone via the barcode, the printed betting ticket can no longer be used. This can therefore no longer be scanned or converted into a payout ticket.
A digital version of a betting ticket, once scanned, is stored on the mobile phone that was used to scan it. To validate a digital betting ticket and have it paid out, the mobile phone user must have the QR code of this ticket scanned by a terminal in the location where the betting ticket was made. Any value of the digital ticket is then credited to the balance of this terminal, after which the player can print a payout ticket.
When deleting the Bet Tracker app from a mobile phone, all digital data in this app will also be deleted. If there is still digital data on a player's mobile phone (such as settled play tickets, amounts still to be paid out, open play tickets, history of play tickets, etc.) and the player deletes the app, all digital data will also be deleted. The player will then have no claim on any outstanding amounts. Magic Betting can in no way be held liable for data loss on a player's mobile phone in any way whatsoever.
-
20. If a player does not agree with the outcome of a betting ticket (e.g. lower amount won than expected), he can request more information from Magic Betting's helpdesk ([email protected]).
-
21. Winnings must be paid out by the operator within 3 working days to the person who can present the scannable payout ticket to the operator, and only at the establishment where the payout ticket was created. In the case of large sums which are not immediately available to the operator, Magic Betting asks for players' patience and understanding. Amounts of EUR 2,000.00 or more will only be paid out to the account number provided by the player.
-
22. Profits are always paid out by the operator and not by Magic Betting, except in the case of paragraph 16 of these rules.
-
23. In accordance with art. VI. 7/1 et seq. WER, all amounts to be disbursed are rounded according to the rules laid down by law.
-
24. Early Cash Out: When a gaming ticket is checked at a terminal, it is possible that an Early Cash Out amount may be proposed. This is a proposal to redeem the played ticket early. If the player accepts this, the player is paid the proposed amount and the entire betting ticket expires. An Early Cash Out cannot be reversed: once accepted, there is no turning back. An Early Cash Out amount can also be proposed and accepted via Magic Betting's app (see point 19 of these game rules). However, payout is only possible at the location where the play ticket was created. The possible acceptance of an Early Cash Out via the app, is in no way part of Magic Betting's online offer; this is a mere tool to assist in the processing of tickets created and printed on a terminal.
-
25. Magic Betting cannot be held liable in case of breakdown of a terminal, touchscreen or other parts of a terminal.
-
26. Magic Betting cannot be held liable if a ticket is cancelled by the software provider. The software provider reserves the right to do so at all times. Possible causes for a cancellation may include: a quotation that does not correspond to reality, matches that have ended and are still offered on the terminals, suspicious patterns in certain bets, non-regular playing times (e.g. 3 x 30 minutes), etc.
-
27. Should a match still be played within 24 hours of its strike or cancellation, the odds on that match will be maintained.
If the match is not started or resumed within 24 hours, the odds for that match will be set to "1". This means that the potential profit of a betting ticket will be lower than before and the profit or loss of the betting ticket will depend on the other matches on the betting ticket.
-
28. Given the many possible combinations to make a betting ticket, these are not mentioned in these rules. Further clarification regarding a possible combination can be obtained from the operator or from Magic Betting ([email protected]). If in doubt about a particular combination, a player should inform himself properly before making a betting ticket. Magic Betting is under no circumstances responsible for printed betting tickets. Our detailed betting rules can be found on our website www.magicbettingsports.be in the "betting rules" section.
-
29. The final scores of a football match refer to 90 minutes + injury time. No account is taken of extensions or penalty kicks for the purpose of designating a winner, unless otherwise stated.
-
30. Football: Magic Betting reserves the right to change the outcome of a bet after the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) has been called in. Thus, an initially winning bet may still lose (and vice versa) or be cancelled after VAR interference.
-
31. Tennis: in case of forfeit of one of the players of a tennis match, any bet on this match will be cancelled.
