Combination Bets vs System Bets at Magic Betting Sports

Combination Bets vs System Bets at Magic Betting Sports

When it comes to online sports betting, Magic Betting Sports offers various ways to bet on sporting events, including single bets, combination bets, and system bets. While both combination and system bets involve multiple predictions, the key difference lies in how they are handled and the level of risk involved. Read all about it in this article.

Combination Bets (Combi)

A combination bet, also known as a “combi”, consists of at least two individual bets. The defining feature of a combination bet is that all selections must be correct in order to win. If even one prediction is incorrect, the entire bet is lost.

The advantage of a combination bet is that it can significantly multiply your stake and potential winnings, as the odds of each individual selection are multiplied together.

System Bets (System)

A system bet is a more advanced betting option that offers greater flexibility and a built-in safety net. Unlike a combination bet, a system bet allows you to win even if not all of your predictions are correct, making it a less risky option.

With system bets, you place a separate stake on each generated combination. As a result, the total stake is higher than with a combination bet that includes the same number of selections. Your final payout depends on which combinations are correct and their associated odds.

To place a system bet, you must select at least three events or predictions (also called tips or selections). All possible combinations within the chosen system are then generated automatically.

Examples of System Bets

  • System 2/3 (2 out of 3): this system requires three predictions and creates three separate combination bets, each containing two selections. You win if at least two of the three predictions are correct. For example, if you bet on Scotland–Portugal, Scotland–Austria, and Portugal–Austria, and two of those combinations are correct, you win.
  • System 2/4 (2 out of 4): with four predictions, this system generates six double bets. You win if at least two of the four predictions are correct. If one prediction is incorrect, the combinations containing that selection are lost, but the others can still win.
  • Yankee System Bet: this system requires four predictions and includes eleven bets in total: six doubles, four trebles, and one fourfold accumulator. At least two correct predictions are needed to secure a return.
  • Trixie System Bet: a Trixie consists of three predictions and includes four bets: three doubles and one treble. You win if at least two of the three selections are correct.

The total stake for a system bet is higher because a stake is placed on each generated combination. For example, a System 2/3 with a stake of €0.30 per combination results in a total stake of €1.00.

Important Betting Conditions

At Magic Betting Sports, odds are subject to change and may vary depending on the trading channel. Once a bet has been placed and confirmed, it will not be affected by later odds changes.

Magic Betting Sports reserves the right to cancel selections in the case of human or system errors where the odds differ significantly from the general market. Bets cannot be withdrawn or modified once accepted, and users are responsible for checking all bet details carefully.

Accumulator or multiple bets are not accepted if the outcome of one selection directly affects another. In such cases, the stake is split equally across selections. Bets are void if the result is already known or not reflected in the odds.

For postponed or interrupted matches, bets remain valid only if the match is played within 24 hours or before the end of the tournament. If the venue changes, bets remain valid unless the home and away teams are reversed.

Conclusion

System bets offer a strategic way to spread risk across multiple outcomes, increasing the chance of a return compared to the all-or-nothing nature of combination bets. Although they require higher stakes and can seem complex, they provide a safety net and are often recommended for more experienced bettors.
